The Radeon R9 270 Graphics Card from ASUS is a general-purpose graphics card for computers with PCI Express expansion slots, and includes drivers for Windows. It features a 950MHz GPU that can be overclocked (boosted) up to 975MHz and incorporates 1280 stream processors to allow hundreds of simultaneous calculations to be performed when using software that supports parallel processing. To move data as quickly as possible to and from the GPU, the card features 2GB 1400MHz GDDR5 RAM and a 256-bit memory interface.

The Radeon R9 270 can be connected to a variety of display types, including computer monitors, HDTVs, and projectors. It features an HDMI port with HDCP support for displaying copy-protected content, a DisplayPort port, a DVI-I (digital and analogue) port, and a DVI-D (digital only) port. It is possible to connect up to four displays directly to this card at any given time; up to six displays can be driven via DisplayPort if MST hubs are employed.

Multi-Display Support
Using AMD Eyefinity technology it is possible to drive up to six displays via DisplayPort. To do this one or more Multi-Stream Transport (MST) hubs or monitors with daisy-chaining capability will be required
Display 3D Content
Thanks to AMD HD3D you can view 3D content from Blu-ray DVDs, video games, 3D graphics software and other 3D applications when using the card in conjunction with compatible 3D displays
Popular API Support
Supports DirectX 11.2, OpenCL, C++ AMP, DirectCompute 11, AMD Stream Processing, and other APIs to allow compatible software to benefit from GPU acceleration
Multi-GPU Support
AMD CrossFire technology allows you to combine two compatible GPUs to increase total processing power
AMD PowerTune and ZeroCore Technology
Dynamically regulates power to the GPU depending on usage for lower operating temperatures and less energy consumption; increasing power when needed or reducing it to close to zero when not in use
Utility software that allows for real-time monitoring of GPU performance, provides assistance with overclocking, and downloads and installs driver and firmware updates
Super Alloy Power
Alloy components and flattened copper heatpipes help to reduce power loss, enhance durability, and achieve cooler operating temperatures to help extend the lifespan of the card
Quad Data Rate (QDR) GDDR5 RAM
Because GDDR5 RAM can transfer up to four words per cycle, as opposed to one word per cycle with traditional RAM, the effective data rate is quadrupled, allowing this card to process data transactions as quickly as if it had a 5600MHz memory clock speed
PCI Express 3.0 Support
Provides twice the bandwidth of PCI Express 2.0; for example, an x8 PCI Express 3.0 slot has the same bandwidth as an x16 PCI 2.0 slot. In addition, the card remains backward-compatible with motherboards using earlier generations of PCI Express
